Blood Sugar Converter (mg/dL ↔ mmol/L)
Blood Sugar Tracker by checkit.health
How to convert blood sugar units
The two units measure the same thing differently. To convert: mmol/L = mg/dL ÷ 18, and mg/dL = mmol/L × 18 (more precisely, 18.0182). For example, 100 mg/dL ≈ 5.6 mmol/L.
Fasting blood sugar ranges
- Normal: under 100 mg/dL (5.6 mmol/L)
- Prediabetes: 100–125 mg/dL (5.6–6.9 mmol/L)
- Diabetes: 126 mg/dL (7.0 mmol/L) and above
These are fasting values. Targets after meals and for people with diabetes differ — follow your clinician’s advice.
