Type 2 Diabetes Risk Checker
Blood Sugar Tracker by checkit.health
What raises type 2 diabetes risk?
The biggest factors are age, carrying extra weight (especially around the middle), inactivity, family history and previously raised blood glucose or blood pressure. Some ethnic groups are also at higher risk from a younger age.
What your score means
The score adds points across these factors (max 26). Lower is better. A moderate-or-higher score is a prompt to speak to your GP — many people can lower their risk substantially through diet, activity and weight changes, and some are offered a blood test (HbA1c).
Good news: much of the risk is modifiable
Losing even 5–10% of body weight, moving more, improving diet and stopping smoking can dramatically cut the risk of progressing to type 2 diabetes — even for people who score high.
