Waist-to-Height Ratio Calculator
Smart BMI & Targets by checkit.health
What is a healthy waist-to-height ratio?
A ratio below 0.5 is considered healthy for most adults. 0.5–0.6 suggests increased risk, and 0.6+ suggests high risk of conditions linked to central fat, such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
Why it can beat BMI
BMI can’t tell where fat sits. Fat around the organs (visceral fat) is the most harmful, and waist-to-height ratio captures it directly — while automatically scaling to your height. It’s quick, cheap and needs only a tape measure.
